On Tuesday 31st August Ferrari bubbles will be used in the toast, in the presence of Mayor Bloomberg, at the cutting of the ribbon of the fifth Eataly, the first in the States, a 7000 m2 showcase of the very best of Italian gastronomy and oenology, located at the crossroads between two of the most famous streets in the Big Apple: Fifth Avenue and Broadway.
Oscar Farinetti, the inventor of Eataly, has launched the extravaganza in the heart of New York with partners of the calibre of the Bastianich family and Mario Batali, and has chosen for the most solemn moment, as with the inauguration of previous editions, the Italian bubbles par excellence. Ferrari won’t be limited just to christen the inauguration: it will be present in all the restaurants of Eataly and play the leading role in many events that will make 200 Fifth Avenue a must in New York.
Ferrari’s central role in Eataly is part of a wider programme that the Trentino winery has recently initiated to consolidate its presence in the States. As a symbol of Italian lifestyle, Ferrari is chosen more and more often by trendy bars and restaurants and accompanies the most glamorous events of many first-class ‘made in Italy’ brands.

Ferrari bubbles are the stars of toasts in the most exclusive beach clubs
In the Costa Smeralda. In the Versilia. In Taormina. In short, in places that are the embodiment of the most refined and exclusive holidays Ferrari labels are the stars of toasts, parties, aperitifs and dinners.
Ferrari’s triumph in the Costa Smeralda starts from the Piazzetta of Porto Cervo with the Ferrari Spazio Bollicine, inaugurated last year and which has become one of the most sought-after gathering places in the area, and continues in luxury hotels like the Cala di Volpe, Hotel Romazzino, Hotel Pitrizza and Hotel Cervo.
In Versilia the place to go for the most glamorous holidaymakers is Twiga in Marina di Pietrasanta and here too the star bubbles bear the Ferrari label. It is no coincidence that one of the most glamorous events planned for this summer was the Ferrari Rosé Night, on 5th August.
Another magical holiday capital is Taormina and in this pearl of Sicily the San Domenico Palace, a monument of world-class luxury hotels, has even dedicated its fifteenth century cloister, recently reopened after restoration work which has restored it to its original splendour, to Ferrari bubbles.
Still in Taormina, bubbles put more sparkle into the ambience also at the San Pietro Hotel, member of Relais & Chateaux Italia and therefore one of the very best hotels and restaurants. Wherever you see the Relais & Chateaux shield in Italy, you will find Ferrari.

Popping 2,778 bottles of Ferrari simultaneously is a Guinness World Record
Guinness was the topic of conversation on Friday 26 November 2007 at the Arena in Pesaro, when, to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of Gruppo Mediolanum, 9,000 bottles of Ferrari were popped. And this extraordinary toast actually ended up in the Guinness World Records, as attested by the certificate awarded recently to Mediolanum and Ferrari. In the certificate however the 9,000 bottles became 2,778. This was a drastic reduction owing to the meticulousness employed by the Guinness adjudicators, present in Pesaro at the attempt, when verifying whether a record has been broken. The number of corks that popped at the exact same time, at the Arena in Pesaro, was, according to the Guinness judges, 2,778. The other 6,222 popped just a fraction of a second before or after. But 2,778 is still a record. A Guinness World Record.

Locanda Margon, Ferrari restaurant,re-opens under the guidance of Alfio Ghezzi, Andrea Berton’s right hand
A restaurant, a cuisine, two proposals. And both a triumph of excellence and bubbles.
This is Locanda Margon, the restaurant owned by the Lunelli family which will reopen its doors on Thursday 22 April under the expert guidance of a new chef, Alfio Ghezzi, considered one of the new rising stars of Italian cuisine.
Locanda Margon has a natural terrace of breathtaking beauty, nestled among the vineyards just outside Trento, and it takes its name from the nearby Villa Margon, a splendid 16th century estate which is Ferrari’s representative office. The Villa, the Locanda and the Ferrari winery all express that path “of Beauty and Goodness” which is the essence of the Lunelli family’s desire to marry art and nature with bubbles and cuisines at the very highest levels.
Alfio Ghezzi, 39, Trentino, with experience matured in Italy and abroad, has developed his expertise with two masters of the calibre of Gualtiero Marchesi and Andrea Berton, and until recently he was the right hand of Andrea Berton at the Trussardi Restaurant at the Scala in Milan. His cuisine is one that sees the territory not as a fetter, but as an opportunity and a stimulus for creativity. “My objective”, Ghezzi explains, “is to enhance the raw materials, with a cuisine that is an ordered whole of product, execution, object and expression. The raw materials are a direct expression of the territory, and therefore, from a Trentino like me passionate about my land, I try to get my supplies in particular from local producers”.
Unlike the past, Locanda Margon will reserve its guests two possibilities, in two separate areas: the Salotto Gourmet and the Veranda. The Salotto will be a celebration of gourmet cuisine in à la carte and refined tasting menus, including “The Evocative Power of Bubbles” and “One dish for one wine”, a proposal which makes the wine the protagonist of the menu. With a reversal of roles: the guest chooses the wine, and the chef has the task of proposing the best combination. And the wine menu is truly rich, because in addition to old vintages of many Ferrari labels, includes unobtainable bottles from the Lunelli family’s private collection. In the Veranda, the proposals are more simple and quicker, able to combine the chef’s talent and the quality of the raw material with the needs of a clientele which is increasingly more attentive to price and speed of service. This is why the new Locanda Margon will be “a restaurant, a cuisine, two proposals”.
“We are proud,” says Matteo Lunelli, “to give an authentic talent like that of Alfio Ghezzi back to the Trentino. And we are sure that, with his creativity, he will make the Locanda Margon an unmissable destination for gourmets, as well as a place for experimentation for innovative combinations with our bubbles.”

Ferrari? It’s the best for winery hospitality: so says the Go Wine guide
Excellence in Ferrari is an all-encompassing concept, which first and foremost expresses itself in the high quality of its sparkling wines, but which involves everything, absolutely everything in the Ferrari world. Even the style of hospitality. And this field too has seen awards rain down on Ferrari. In Cantine d’Italia 2010 edited by Go Wine (480 pages, € 15.00) and dedicated to wine and gourmet tourism, the Ferrari Winery is at the very top thanks to a score which takes into consideration the “site, hospitality and production profile”. A position shown in the “three footprints” assigned to Ferrari and which are the highest recognition awarded by the guide. It is not mere chance that among the over 600 wineries selected, those that are “worth the trip”, only 16 were awarded “three footprints”. This means that the magic and the fascination of the bubbles, in the case of Ferrari, also means the magic and fascination of visiting the winery. And now, what are you waiting for? Visit the Ferrari Winery. Write to (negri@cantineferrari.it),or call (+39 0461 972416) and we’ll look after you.
The Winter Olympic Games opening on the 12th February in Vancouver, Canada, already have a unique protagonist, Ferrari. The bubbles from Trentino will be proposed both in Casa Italia and in Casa Russia. At Casa Italia, a big display of Italian excellence in the world, our athletes will toast their victories with Ferrari. The same at Casa Russia, both at Bosco Lounge, a sort of cafeteria and restaurant, and at Bosco Night Club, a classical nightclub. Casa Russia has captured international attention for several years as one of the most trendy and sparkling places for great sporting events and as for toasts in the Olympic Games of Turin and Beijing they only want Italian bubbles, Ferrari of course.

Ferrari Riserva Lunelli: a new, great vintage, for the first time bearing the Lunelli name,
Dedicated to haute cuisine, the Riserva Lunelli is a new Ferrari vintage which the Lunelli family, for three generations head of the Trentino winery, has wanted, for the first time, to give the family’s name.
It was presented, for the first time ever, in Milan on Monday 16th November, in the charming Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro, with a gala dinner to which flocked the elite of Italian haute cuisine. Standing godparents to the new vintage, in addition to the Lunelli family, were four great Milanese chefs who, each with their own dish, demonstrated and magnified the extraordinary versatility of the wine. The latest bubbles from the Ferrari winery in fact masterly accompanied the starter by Andrea Berton, the first course by Aimo and Nadia Moroni, the second course created by Carlo Cracco, and, lastly, the special dessert, the result of Claudio Sadler’s genius (complete menu).
Produced from a historic harvest, that of 2002, which marked the winery’s centenary, the Ferrari Riserva Lunelli relives the tradition that saw Bruno Lunelli, the founder, entrust the first fermentation to huge oak barrels, especially made in Austria. An experience that we wanted to repeat, after a long period of experimentation, fifty years later and the result of which was unveiled in a new label of great appeal, an expression of just the Chardonnay grapes grown in the winery’s vineyards surrounding the splendid 16th century Villa Margon. “It is a Trento DOC”, explains Matteo Lunelli, head along with his cousins of the Trentino winery, “in line with the great history of Ferrari and which relates our intention to innovate in the furrow of tradition. Its structure and extraordinary complexity make it an ideal wine to enhance the chefs’ creations. And it is for this reason that we wanted to dedicate it to haute cuisine, which has always been our ambassador.”
